[Pulmonic Area:  S1 is followed by a short duration, musical quality, somewhat diamond shaped, grade 2, early systolic murmur.  S2 is single although in some cycles it appears to have a slight split. There are no extra sounds in diastole; HR = 68 bpm]  

Notes: Use the diaphragm of the stethoscope to focus on the systolic murmur to observe the musical quality of the murmur. Are you listening in a reasonably quiet environment?
